Seanachie is the Celtic word for storyteller. I am pleased to be able to introduce the old stories with all their comedy, tragedy, mystery and adventure to an adult audience. .

Seanachie Nights will be held on every third Monday of the month at 7 p.m at. Bull Feeney's Irish Pub/Restaurant "The Venue with the Menu"

www.bullfeeneys.com , 375 Fore Street, Portland, Maine

The Monday, November 19 show will feature
Fiddler/storyteller Janet Lynch and storyteller Lynne
Cullen in an evening of funny and frightening stories
and songs from the edge, including: Vandy, Vandy,
Lynnes adaptation of the supernatural Appalachian
story by Manly Wade Wellman. Raconteuse Janet Lynch
will spin some wild yarns in the great Irish tradition
of Blarney.
Janet Lynch is a traditional Irish fiddler who has
played at Ceili’s and sessions all over Portland. She
has appeared in several AIRE (American Irish Repertory
Ensemble) productions. Lynne Cullen learned the art of
Storytelling in Yorkshire England, and loves the
British mix of humor and the dark side.

The series is the idea of local (seanachie)
storyteller and playwright Lynne Cullen. Lynne is a
member of LANES (League for the Advancement of New
England Storytelling www.lanes.org), and MOOSE (The
Maine Organization of Storytelling Enthusiasts.)
